Helaine Z. Harris, MA, MFT (license #MF15327) is a leading marriage and family therapist in private practice in Van Nuys, California, and is the award winning poet and author of the book, Are You In Love with a Vampire?  Healing the Relationship Drain Game. 

Ms. Harris is a renowned teacher and lecturer, blending traditional and non-traditional therapies with her knowledge of Shamanism body energies to create a unique therapeutic style called An Awakening Process, which acknowledges each soul's journey.  When she initially developed this process, it was known as PsychoShamanism™, and as An Awakening Process, it has become a much sought learning experience in personal development among her clients, lecture attendees and workshop participants.

Gifted with keen insight, Helaine is known for creating a safe and supportive rapport to help people reverse self-destructive patterns and balance their masculine/feminine energies. She guides and allows them to consciously create the life they desire.

She is currently a member and has served as chairperson of the San Fernando Valley chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family therapists. Helaine has long been an active member with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Association for Past-Life Research and Therapies, the Association for Humanistic Psychology, and the Association for Transpersonal Psychology.

Ms. Harris received her BA from UCLA with honors, her MA in Counseling at CSU of Northridge maintaining Dean's List status.  She is a Certified Teacher; Life, Marriage, Family and Child Counselor; and Hypnotherapist.
